I would highly recommend this book to anyone in a healthcare profession as well as to anyone who has people in their lives whom they love and care about who are affected by this condition. R.J. Grigaitis does an excellent job of letting the reader into his world in a sensitive and informative way. The reader emerges with a deeper appreciation of the depth of suffering with this disease, yet does so with a sense of hope.

The only reason why I am not giving five stars is that I was still left with questions as how to sensitively deal with people with schizophrenia during psychotic or suicidal episodes. Perhaps this will be addressed by the author in another book?
