Product Description

Ingram

Although Josie Hardwick was terrified of Indians, she was determined to leave Tennessee and go West to find a better life. So when wagonmaster Caleb McCall agreed to take her along on his own way West, Josie was delighted--even though Caleb, raised by Indians, was determined to rejoin the proud Sioux warriors he called his brothers. To follow him meant that Josie would be swept into an unknown and terrifying world--or into ecstasy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bright Morning Star's glow fades!, Oct 13 2000

This review is from: Bright Morning Star (Paperback)
Bright Morning Star starts with a bang! I was quickly drawn into the action. The characters are all likeable once you get used to Josie's backwoods drawl. However, it's a book that should have been about four chapters shorter. I ended up skimming the last three chapters just to get it over with! All in all it wasn't a bad book, but there's a lot of unnecessary (and somewhat cheesy) goings on toward the end.
