Product Description

From Amazon.com

This sprightly, sardonic sequel to Bring It On has little connection to the Kirsten Dunst comedy, but is a lot of fun on its own terms. Freshman Whittier (Anne Judson-Yager) arrives at California State University in Los Angeles intent on auditioning for the cheerleading squad. Discovering student life to be a mix of the mundane (dumb football players) and iconoclastic (sundry militants), she buddies up with a former rival (Faune Chambers), for comfort, and gets an easygoing boyfriend (Richard Lee Jackson). But after impressing the shrewish head cheerleader, Tina (Bree Turner), with her astonishing agility, Whittier is lured to campus celebrity and briefly loses her head--and friends. After wising up, Tina dismisses Whittier from the squad, forcing the outcast to start a rival (and much sexier) cheerleading crew. Broad performances, particularly Turner’s monstrous child of privilege, make Bring It On Again worth a visit. --Tom Keogh

4.0 out of 5 stars It's the bomb digity, Jan 25 2004

This review is from: Bring It on Again (DVD)
A few years back I saw a preview for a new movie called The Squad and thought it looked pretty funny. A few months later that movie was released and renamed Bring It On. I had to see it, so I dragged my brother to it and I really liked it. It was full of energy, humor, and bright color.

Then three years later I see a preview for a direct to video sequel with none of the original cast. I laugh at it and think this is going to be terrible. Then when it's finally released (about four months after the first preview said) I gave into tempation and got it.

I have to admit I went into this thinking it was going to be crap but I found myself laughing quite a bit. It had a fairly strong plot, which wasn't a rip off of the first one like I originally thought it would be. The actors were all good, which you wouldn't expect from a straight to video sequel.

The movie had good dance routines and was full of the same enegy and humor as the original. I would recomend this movie to anyone that wants to watch a fun light movie to kill a couple of hours and have a laugh.

I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but I'd be interested in seeing a third installment!

1.0 out of 5 stars It Sucked, July 8 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Bring It on Again (DVD)
The movie only had one competition, and when they one that competition you expected to see them go to the cmopetition and watch all sort of team try to win the nationals. But no, you see them one and then it's the end. It sucked royally. I'd never watch it again. The first movie "Bring it on" rocked and had the expectations of a cheerleading try out and all. They should of just left the first one be and create another similar movie, like a sequal to that one. Like of what happens to that group when they when they went to college or something.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful sequel, July 5 2004
This review is from: Bring It on Again (DVD)
This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. I was surprised by how much I loved and still love the first Bring it On, now that was a funny movie with a great cast (Eliza Dushku, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Bradford, Clare Kramer). I really want to help people out by warning them how truly terrible the sequel is. The dialogue is awful, nothing about this movie made me laugh. The mean blonde girl in the movie is so annoying I can't stand to look at her. I didn't even like the girl we were supposed to be rooting for. There was no chemistry with her "love interest", that storyline seemed thrown in just to mirror the first movie. None of the acting was good, all of the actors were probably either embarrassed to be in this movie or unknowns hoping this would be their chance on camara. The plot is not only dull but completely unrealistic, they take a bunch of college kids that have never had dance training and in a couple of weeks they're professional dancers who can do backflips and handstands. Yeah, right. The dance-off at the very end might of been good but I was about ready to throw something through my tv at that point so I can't really comment on it.
