But a lot of fun at times. All of these selections were recorded live in a small (and extremely relaxed) radio studio. The results range from charming to just sloppy. It's particularly refreshing to hear a different side of the more well-known performers (Muldaur, Danko and Kaukonen) without the usual bells and whistles. Muldaur's performance is particularly engaging. At it's best, this CD makes you feel like you're sitting in the artist's living room, a friend more than an audience member.
