Product Description

Bring Me Your Love is whisper-soft yet lush, with minimal production and warm acoustic instruments. Opening with the our-love-is-gonna-go-wrong song “Forgive Me,” Dallas Green (Alexisonfire) aches his way through lyrics like “I’ve been known to fall in love/but sometimes love just is not enough/and my heart will stray.” The lead track, a one-night-stand ode entitled “Confessions” has a similar lyrical pain, with a gorgeous lap steel guitar and quiet bluesy melody that would be a perfect fit for a mournful, soulful southern blues singer. The most catchy and compelling song on the disc may well be the most lyrically Morrissey-esque, a slightly uptempo, passionate number entitled, “Sleeping Sickness” where Green sings, “with all the worries that occupy the back of my mind, could it be, this misery will suffice?” That track gets even more powerful when Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie adds co-vocals to the mix. All in all, this release is a sonic 180 degrees away from Green's screamo Alexisonfire creations, but remains, arguably, the stronger and more powerful of the two projects. --Denise Sheppard

5.0 out of 5 stars City and, Colour really awsome!, Mar 3 2012

This is a great acoustic cd of a great fellow Canadian,... His voice is like sweet wine seeping into a wine glass, his guitar is like the sound the hevenly gates would make after granting me entry! Super cd!

5.0 out of 5 stars Surpasses the first record., Feb 13 2008

When hearing upon the first record entitled "sometimes" it was good , but puts you in a down state after its done if you listen to it to its entirety , this album however , is far different than that , has alot more going on (gord downie makes an appearance) , its more uplifting and joyous at times , it really blew me away ,so different than the first one , i was afraid before i heard this record that it would sound overproduced , kind of like the difference between the first our lady peace recore and the second , but Dallas doesn t look for the mainstream , instead , he creates his own path , brilliant and suprised to say again uplifting compared to the first album , and the way it was recorded makes it feel like he s playing right beside you , sounds so pure with no hint of overproduction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mellow fellow, May 1 2009

This is fantastic and very listenable. If you are looking for pounding drums and electric guitars, you won't find it here. It is fairly acoustic and mellow. He has a great voice and the songs are endearing.
