Much of Broke's dark yet surprisingly melodic and memorable charm lies in the portentous and chaotic musical climate the band creates. The well-crafted tunes explore a gamut of styles within the loosely defined hip-hop/metal genre, moving from the primal groove of "Killing Time" to the lively, Van Halen-inspired "Feel Good." The sextet includes a turntablist in DJ Product c. 1969, plus two guitarists, allowing the lineup to create a massive sound rife with subtle textures. From the psychotic vocals of "Pac Bell" to the epic rock chorus and hip-hop verses of "Bartender," (hed) seamlessly weave close-to-the-bone angst with commensurate musicality. I never listened to them before i had only heard bartender on the radio.But i got this buy trading my friend something and it kicks ass awesome band,I like all the tracks my favorites was waiting to die and bartender and crazy legs and boom how ya like that and meadow,but this cds cool,i went out and bought blackout its good too i think u want some good rap metal this should be it

I don't care for Hip Hop, and there's very few rap artists that I like. But when you mix Hip Hop and Rap with Hardcore Metal you get amazing music. Trust me, BUY THIS CD!!! The new Hed P.E. album (Blackout) is great also, and I haven't heard their first album, but this one is worth every penny you spend on it.
