The story (spoiler alert): Bubbles, the bunny, goes to an Easter egg hunt. Along with the other eggs she finds, she finds a green egg in a nest. She added the egg to her basket and was surprised to see it wiggle. She thinks she has a magical egg. She takes it home carefully in her basket. Her parents tell her that the egg is an unhatched Easter Chick. The chick hatches and Bubbles and her parents take the chick back to it's parents.
The story is in rhyming verse and flows nicely. It is very well edited. I would probably have included a few periods, but having a lot of commas did not detract from the story. The story was easy to follow. The book has a Table of Contents listing 8 chapters. The chapters are not linked to their spot in the book, but that is not a problem since the book is only about 9 pages long. There are 6 pictures that are similar to the front cover, and I liked the unique way the author chose to illustrate the story. I also appreciate that the author listed her other books at the end of the book.
(There is just a small formatting issue depending on what Kindle device or Kindle App used. If reading on the iPad in vertical view, the story begins on the page after the Table of Contents, as it should. In horizontal view on the iPad and the vertical view on the Kindle Fire, the story begins on the same page as the TOC. It's not a big deal, and maybe it cannot be formatted the same for all the different devices).
All in all it is a simple story out just in time for Easter. It would make a good bedtime story. I'll be keeping it to read to my grandchildren.
