This is not the book for cancer patient looking to follow the Budwig Protocol July 16 2012
By A. Leung - Published on
Format: Paperback
If you are a cancer patient who would like to follow the Budwig Protocol, this is NOT the book you are looking for. (I was misled by the title, later to find that this is the wrong book!) It was not written by Dr Budwig but by her nephew who considered this as a general healthy diet book. He included foods that are not appropriate for cancer patients and does not compliant with the protocol. Cancer patients please get the original Oil Protein Cookbook instead. It does not have a kindle version.

Dangerous book for cancer patients Jan. 20 2013
By Frederick Beck - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This book is not written by Dr. Budwig. The book includes dangerous recipes for patients or does the authors really believe that Dr. Budwig would recommend their patients toasted almond butter with mashed potatoes. Stay away from this book.

Cured my dog of cancer with this book Feb. 17 2012
By Katherine Rose - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
My dog had gastric carcinoma and tumors in her duodenum. After feeding her according to Dr.Budwig's
simple foods, flax seed oil, ground up flax seed, and cottage cheese, she bounced back in a few weeks - has gained back the 10 lb she lost and is a very happy 4-1/2 yr.old.

Dr Budwig should have received a Nobel Prize April 28 2013
By D&D - Published on
Format: Paperback
Dr Budwig is a giant in the field of health and was a Nobel nominee several times. Two decades ago I read all her books translated into English and took tablespoons of flax oil, drank lots of water, supplemented with 1g magnesium citrate, etc, etc. Yes, I achieved a small but noticeable improvement in my very poor health but over time still continued to slide slowly, steadily, frighteningly downwards, undiagnosed and untreated for over 20 years. What worked in her time is no longer enough (therefore only 3 stars), partly because of the massive poisoning we are suffering (bromide in our bread and environment, fluoride and chlorine in our water, pesticides and GM in our food, and so much more).

For those looking for general health improvements, I suggest:

- "Oil Pulling" by Fife - worked immediately for me, to sooth an abscessed tooth, and has long-term systemic benefits;
- "Never Fear Cancer Again" by Raymond Francis a superb distillation of what is truly needed for health;
- "Trick and Treat" by Barry Groves or and "The Diet Delusion" by Gary Taubes or "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living" by Phinney and Volek , all of which turn upside down everything governments have told us to eat for health;
- "Transdermal Magnesium Therapy" by Sircus on the amazing benefits of magnesium - a fundamental supplement for a healthy body;
- "Iodine: Why you need it, Why you can't live without it" by David Brownstein and " The Iodine Crisis: What You Don't Know About Iodine Can Wreck Your Life" by Lynne Farrow;
- "The Calcium Lie II" an intriguing book plausibly claiming to explain the root cause of most illnesses;
- "The Healing Code" by Loyd/Johnson/Eble: hundreds of personal successes, including physical, listed in the reviews on;
