I purchased this watch on my Honeymoon in December 2008. I must say that the images of it on the internet do not do it justice. This watch has a fine and unique look to it that adds to your confidence. I usually only wear it when I'm looking and feeling my best, it's that kind of piece. Some of my favorite aspects of it are the shape of the casing; the crystal actually has a slight curve to it. The blue pointer hand on the day calendar along with Sunday being in that same blue adds a small pop of color to the face. As a graphic designer and photographer, I appreciate how the Bulova logo is placed in a 3rd of the frame. As another reviewer noted, the line pattern in the center of the face and Bulova logo on the crown are also great features on this watch.
My only complaint is that the numbers for the date of the month are very small. What adds to this disadvantage, is that the dates are shown in a number then dot then number pattern. This only adds to the difficulty of reading the date. But, this does not detract from the beauty or value of this piece in my oppinion. At least the date is on there to begin with, which is something I always look for in a watch.
This timepiece almost reminds me of a classic automobile. It's a combination of vintage and modern styling and definitely worth adding to anyone's collection. In my oppinion, it's one of Bulova's most unique and attractive, recent offerings.
