Album Details
In 1978, Having Already Recorded a Decent Bunch of Interesting and Varied Albums, the Members of Jethro Tull Embarked on a Full European Tour, Deciding to Record Each Show in Order to Select the Best Performances from their Best Nights and Create an Album which Would Mark the Breadth of their Output to that Date. The Album was "Live Bursting Out" and it Fully Represents their Cataloge from the Start with "a New Day Yesterday" Through to "Songs from the Wood" which was Released Just a Year Before this Recording, and Much in Between Including "Aqualung", "Conundrum", "Minstreal in the Gallery" and a Reprise of Thick as a Brick". This Time around the Album Will Be Packaged in a Brillant Box with Added Liner Notes and Extra Photos from the Era.

Dans l'ensemble il s'agit d'un très bon album en spectacle d'un des très grands groupes de rock progressif. La définition du son en spectacle ne peut jamais être aussi bonne qu'en studio. En spectacle on met souvent l'emphase sur certains instruments plutôt que d'autres ce qui est dommage dans la mesure où tous les musiciens du groupe sont excellents. Par exemple les claviers de John Evan et Davis Palmer sont souvent en retrait par rapport aux autres. J'aurais apprécié mieux entendre aussi la batterie puisque Barriemore Barlow est extraordinaire. Par contre, l'énergie déployée en spectacle est très bien rendue, ce qui compense pour une prise de son qui aurait pu être meilleure.Je ne donne pas 5 étoiles parce que je comprends pas certains choix artistiques. Par exemple je ne m'explique pas pourquoi des pièces comme Jack in the green ou the hunting girl sont rendues en totalité alors que des pièces comme songs from the wood (2 minutes 15 secondes) ou minstrel in the gallery (un peu plus de 4 minutes) ont été considérablement raccourcies par rapport aux versions originales. Que je sache, ce sont les dernières qui sont des greatest hits et non les premières. Je suis resté sur mon appétit.

there are not enough stars for me to give. this is the ultimate tull concert. the performance of locomotive breath is worth the purchase alone. words can't describe the value of this album. it is something that everyone (tull fan or not) should own and have in their music library.
