I recently read Buyng Real Estate in The US. It's excellent in many respects and certainly puts your mind at ease about investing south of the border for sure. However, there is a section in there entitled " The Us-Canada Tax Convention (Treaty) Article XXIX B (Taxes Imposed by Reason of Death). This is a complex topic and I think it could have been written in a much more understandable format. Mr. Walters could have put a bit more levitiy into the book as well. Taxation is a dry topic and any type of interest grabber sure helps! Other than that, great book!
