A Kid's Review Three,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Young Bond By Royal Command (Hardcover)
By Royal Command is the last in the series of Young Bond books and it ties Silverfin (see A Kids Review Two), Blood Fever (see A Kids Review), Double or Die and Hurricane Gold all together because different characters from those books come back. To fully enjoy By Royal Command it is best to have read all the Young Bond books, which I have and I am not even ten years old!In By Royal Command, Bond stops a plot to kill the King of England. The story has great twists and you are not sure if it is a Communist plot, a Nazi plot, or if it is an Irish gang out to kill the King. I learnt both history and science from this book. For history I learnt about the Prince of Wales and the American woman Wallis Simpson (no relation to Marge and Homer, ha ha), for science I learnt fertilizer and sulphur and silver paint can be used to make a bomb. In conclusion, I recommend this book to both kids and adults because it is exciting.

"By Royal Command"- an emotional, action packed, historical roller coaster you won't want to put down. 5/5.,

"Young Bond Book Reviews"- Akash Kumar's Reviews"By Royal Command"- Ages 14 and up~ only in UK~ James Bond has to stop a communist plot, and falls in love with a 17 year old maid. "By Royal Command" is a very enthralling conclusion to the "Young Bond" series. It becomes action packed in the middle and the end. The love story within it is carried intelligently, and not too gushy-mushy. The maid is Roan Powers. James is attracted to her at first sight. Since it is told in James's view, teenage boys can easily connect with him. The book is serious throughout. The plot is too mature for kids under 14. I myself had to research a bit about King George. James Bond loses his innocence in this one, and since he is lovesick, "he runs slowly, so the pace is slow." This book reminds me of the serious "Quantum of Solace". This book is by far one of the best conclusions yet. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

This review is from: Young Bond By Royal Command (Hardcover)
The Young James Bond books are exactly what they claim to be. Lots of action and intrigue, but these books are designed for younger readers - so the language and situations are perfectly okay to have in the hands of youth. No suggestive or sexy scenes, but plenty of action to keep readers interested.

By Royal Command - This Bond does not disappoint!!!,

This review is from: Young Bond By Royal Command (Hardcover)
I purchased this book for my almost 13-year old son who is an avid reader. He says, "This book was totally amazing!!! I've read the entire Young Bond Series to date and this one was well worth the wait. Since this is book #5 in the series, I would suggest that you read the previous four books before starting By Royal Command." We order the Young Bond books directly from the UK and my son is always thrilled to get them a year or two before everyone else in his school!! He gets so engrossed in the story and has difficulty putting the book down, even for a little while. He is so looking forward to the next book in the Young Bond series.
