This is a book I come back to time and time again. As someone who plays off and on, I often refer to the book when pool is 'back' in my life. This is a keeper!The diagrams, the history, why shots do what they do, how to play the angles, you can't beat it. Its both informative and entertaining.

This book has helped me but can be very difficult for some begginers and the advanced people will find it beginnerish. i dont recomend this book to anyone. Dont Buy It.

Robert Byrne's New Standard Book of Pocket Billiards is a key resource in any billiard library for beginners and experts alike. I believe it is the best overall book on pocket billiards extant.Although it does contain a few inaccuracies and instances of scanty detail, overall, it is an invaluable guide for learning fundamentals of pocket billiards with well written explanations and instructive illustrations....
