This set is only 22 of 65 episodes.
Shout!Factory who made the set has released 2 volumes containing only 43 of 65 episodes.
If you want the complete series purchase the Mill Creek Entertainment collection, it is 2 volumes and contains all the episodes.

I was a huge fan of C.O.P.S. The Animated Series when I was growing up. Being the age of 3 or 4 when it was aired on t.v. I remember watching it as often as possible. To this day I still have some episodes along with The Real Ghostbusters on an old kodak blank VHS. When I saw this item on amazon I had to have it and it is everything I hoped it would be. I just hope that someday they get around to getting the whole series on DVD just like the have with The Real Ghostbusters, which of course me being the nerd I am Have.

As cheesy as the jokes & toughness was in this cartoon, weather targeted as a kid or not. This is still a classic, & was a very underated cartoon for that decade (along with Dino Riders & Silverhawks) I may be older now. But still a must own for anyone that likes cartoons from the 1980's to the early 1990's instead of the stuff they serve up on tv now a'days

TO start off, if you want to pick up this dvd from your nearest (name of store you buy dvd's) than your out of luck. I was given this set for my birthday by a good friend who said the only place in Toronto or Mississauga he could get it was from a store called Starstruck entertainment which had to order it in from Germany?
Well anyways, I am not a huge fan of the cartoon or remember it too much for that matter, but i do remember watching it as a kid and as far as i can remember it seemed pretty decent. If your a big fan of the show it wont really matter what i say, your going to love it, but for those like me you might be a little dissapointed.
Recently ive been on a cartoon binge picking up the batman animated series and thundercats, so when i saw this coming out i was thrilled. DIssapointingly though, this show is so much cheasier than i remembered, ofcourse i was a kid in its hayday. But than again cheasy aint all bad as long as the overall quality of the show is good. In each of the episodes though, the storylines are a bit unsatisfactory after watching superb cartoons like the aforementioned. I'm not a technical geek what so ever, so from a average dvd collector, the sound and video quality looks good.
IMPORTANT NOTE: i have only watched one disc, which contains 5 episodes, so take what i say with a grain of salt.
The good: sound and video quality
warm feeling reliving your childhood
bad ass characters
special features (concept sketches & art, paintings,
story boards etc..)
The Bad: stories kind of suck
super cheasy at times.
(The baffling Bug Man??????? you'll see what i mean)
Berserko's voice makes me want to kill people
OVERALL: good part of the collection, but doesnt hold up to other
high quality cartoons.

OH MY GOD!! Jan. 10 2006
By Taylor Page - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
I managed to see one of the advance sets (no real packaging or anything) and OH MY GOD!! This box is AWESOME!! I was a pretty big fan of the show when it was first on as COPS (it later became CyberCOPS or something on another station) and never really thought it would ever make it out to DVD. But I'm glad it finally did, because there was A LOT of love put into this set. I never really expected there to be so many special features for a show that wasn't as popular as the big ones like Voltron and Transformers. But this one's got concept art, some really cool handpainted backgrounds and the totally awesome animated storyboards of the opening credits!!

Even though I probably could've taken the copy my friend let me see, I decided I'd rather buy it here! It's TOTALLY worth it!!

One of the Greatest Cartoons ever!!! Aug. 12 2006
By CH81602 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
It's a sad shame it only lasted one season. But that doesn't mean the show was a flop. This show is, in my opinion, one of the greatest cartoons ever since Voltron. It has tons of action, excitement, and the following unforgettable characters in the show: Bulletproof (my all time favorite), Mace, LongArm, Highway, Bullseye, Hardtop, Mainframe, Bowser and Blitz, Mirage, Barricade, Sundown, Berserko, Big Boss with Scratch, his pet weasel, Buttons McBoomBoom, Nightshade (Mace's Sweetheart), Ms. Demeanor, Turbo Tu-tone, Rock Krusher, Squeeky Kleen, Brian O'Malley, Whitney Morgan, Mayor Davis, Commissioner Highwaters, and last but not least, Dr. BadVibes and his robotic companion Buzzbomb. This wonderfull 4-disk series is all about the daily struggles of Agent Baldwin P. "Bulletproof" Vess and his finest team of the most highly trained special police officers, the Central Organization of Police Specialists themselves, C.O.P.S. as they strive to rid Empire City of the nefarious kingpin, Brandon "Big Boss" Babel and his evil gang of Crooks, who will do everything of what it takes to seize all of the wealth and power for themselves and dispose the C.O.P.S. team once and for all. This is one hot DVD box set to have for your own pleasure of watching the C.O.P.S. team teach those crooks a lesson that crime doesn't pay and have those words ring in your ear, "IT'S CRIME FIGHTING TIME!!!!!" coming from none other than the C.O.P.S. team themselves!

Most underated 80s cartoon Feb. 12 2006
By Kriojinik - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
Cops was overlooked by so many people during the late 80s. The characters were highly original and the stories were always interesting. Cops even had animation that was well before it's time. I recommend this series to people looking for an old show that still holds it's credibility by today's standards. Bullet Proof is one of the greatest characters in an animated series. It's crime fighting time!

I used to love this show and never ever thought it would ever come out on dvd. I cant wait! and after reading what alls going to be on it, it sounds like its going to be a great title to add to my already big collection.

Thanks for shout factory for finally releasing c.o.p.s. on dvd and for doing such a great job with putting cool special features on it.

It's crimefighting time! March 13 2006
By David FERNANDEZ SABIO - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
The COPS(Central Command Police Specialists) are a group of the best crime fighters in the U.S. led by fed agent V.P. Vess codename Bulletproof which are formed to fight against The Big Boss and his henchmen in Empire City the nation most corrupted and criminilized city in the year 2020.

This set includes all 22 first episodes of the show first season. The show run from 1988-1989.In my country I saw it in the afternoons after kid's program. Here was a Mexican dubbed version which was very funny to hear. All characters have their names translated even C.O.P.S.(Comando Organizado de Policias Superiores). The set includes a bunch of nice extras including rare sketches not included in the air.Even technics explaining how comic book was concieved and created. The audio and video quality is excellent and the menu design is well done.

The only flaw of this set is the non existence of any CC.I know is a kid's show and English is not too hard but Shout Factory! haven't thought about deaf and hard of hearing people(not myself) which deserves more in a Dvd.

I hope more sets with the rest of season comes soon and this can be fixed.
