This should have been an easy purchase - just a simple patch cord for an Apple iPod Shuffle. Think again. IT DOESN'T WORK! Methinks they have too many of those little separate sections on the end that plugs into the iPod itself - I'm sure my original patch cord had only one little divided section - not the 4 this one does.
Perhaps the wrong 'sections' lined up inside my little iPad and therefore failed to charge it - I don't know. I tried various USB hook-ups to make sure the other end functioned properly, or if I might have a problem with my laptop's second USB port, although I use it daily for Skyping, with an external mouse plugged into the first USB port.
But for $3, including shipping - what can I expect, eh? I mean, the local Walmart has a patch cord that would theoretically work - but it's got a 6 foot cord and would cost $20 to buy. Hell, I only paid $40 for my iPod - why the hell would I pay half that for a patch cord to charge it? I might as well just buy a whole new iPod - or forget it completely.
Anyways, this was my first purchase ever through Amazon. I'm disappointed in the product itself, though that hardly Amazon's fault. It isn't worth the price of shipping to return it - so I'm stuck. I do appreciate this chance Amazon afforded me to cite my beef, however.
