About the Author
Wendell Odom, CCIE No. 1624, has been in the networking industry since 1981. He has worked as a network engineer, consultant, systems engineer, instructor, and course developer; he currently works writing and creating certification tools. He is author of all the previous editions of the CCNA Exam Certification Guides from Cisco Press, as well as the CCNP ROUTE 642-902 Official Certification Guide, the CCIE Routing and Switching Official Exam Certification Guide, Computer Networking First Step, the CCNA Video Mentor, and other titles. He is also the primary networking consultant for the CCNA 640-802 Network Simulator.

I've found these books to well written, and helpful in studying for my CCNA. Not a surprising comment, really, as that's what they're for!
I'm actually just posting a review to communicate the following: I wasn't really certain from the product description, or other reviews, but was happy to see that when my "Cert Library" arrived, that it was actually a boxed set of two other books: The CCENT/CCNA ICND1, and CCNA ICND2 official cert guides. You are getting the exact same books that you would get if you bought them separately, but you are saving money. All discs and extras included with the individual books are included with this library.

Before buying this library I've checked briefly the Wendell Odom's style of writing, I liked it, and I was sure that these two books will be a valuable addition to my bookshelf. I was glad to confirm my expectations on the book's content. To my taste Wendell is balanced on details - not too short, not too wordy, just enough to get you understand the topic, providing plenty of screen's commands and their output examples. I didn't completely test the companion DVDs, but both of them are Light Edition with limited labs and commands available, and you are invited to buy full Network Simulator instead. Anyway they have a lot of material to study. I am satisfied with my purchase and the price of this Sert Library.
