If you are even remotely interested in Cisco Networking -- buy this book. I'm taking CTY (computer systems technology) at Fanshawe College in London, On and this book is an invaluable resource. I wish I had it 1st semester, it would have made it a breeze (although I probably wouldn't have learned anything!).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good command overview June 8 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book contains an easy to navigate format which has the commands used on the (now) OLD CCNA / ICND1&2 exam. IF YOU ARE USING THIS TO PREPARE FOR THE CCNA 200-120 OR ICND 100-101/200-101 EXAMS, PREORDER THE 3RD EDITION.

There is a section on subneting at the front which some will find useful. I especially like the index format of the book. In the back cover, instead of being alphabetical, it states "I want to..." and lists subjects and their corresponding page numbers that way. For instance "Create VLANS on my Switch - page 117.

I found this helpful when I was doing labs, as a small reference book, rather than a larger textbook or swapping screens to look up on the internet.

This book is the best tool for anyone taking CCNA. It has all of the commands and configs for everything you need in the CCNA program. Good companion for Routing Protocols, LAN and wireless, and Accessing the WAN. I would highly recommend this product for anyone taking CCNA or any other Cisco course for that matter.
