What Will You Find in This Book?
As mentioned before, this book is all about practice questions. This book is separated according to the 10 domains you will find in the CISSP exam. Each chapter represents a domain and there are three elements in each:
Practice Questions—This section includes the numerous questions that will help you learn, drill, and review.
Quick Check Answer Key—After you have finished answering the questions, you can quickly grade your exam from this section. Only correct answers are given here. No explanations are offered, yet.
Answers and Explanations—This section offers you the correct answers as well as further explanation about the content posed in that question. Use this information to learn why an answer is correct and to reinforce the content in your mind for exam day.
Because this book is a paper practice product, you might want to complete your exams on a separate piece of paper so that you can reuse the exams over and over without having previous answers in your way. Also, a rule of thumb across all practice question products is to make sure you are scoring well into the high 90% range in all topics before attempting the real exam. The higher percentages you score on practice question products, the better your chances for passing the real exam. Of course, we can't guarantee a passing score on the real exam, but we can offer you plenty of opportunities to practice and assess your knowledge levels before entering the real exam.

I passed the CISSP examination in NYC last month and used this book as part of my practice drills. I mainly used the practice CD. The book itself is the practice CD in paper form. The questions Gregg asks are specific, yet challenging, and push your level of understanding of the 10 domains. The CD engine works fine, but the "mark" feature had a few issues at the end of a quiz. Overall, I believe that this CD isolated my weakness very well in relation to other quiz engines, so I knew exactly what I needed to spend more time on. The questions on calculating ALE and SLE were useful and applicable in a real world sense. Combine this book with Tittel, Harris and ISC2 study guides and you should really have a command of the material.

I used this book along with several other texts and practice exams to prepare for the exam. I also used the cccure website. Clement DuPuis runs the site and was the editor of this book which was a factor in my decision to buy. I passed the exam so I am happy with the end result.

This book is a great way to become familiar with the question types, wording and structure for the CISSP exam. It is a great last minute review and mind calmer. The multiple formats (book and CD) allow for flexibility during study time.
