Truly terrible. Once you get the DVD, it tells you in the small print on the back cover that this unauthorised by the band. It's not surprising. The disc also features no music performances by the band. You're told this in large letters at the start, but it was far from readily apparent when I order this.

It's just a bunch of talking heads of people who knew the band with some old interview material thrown in for good measure. That, plus the same drearily repetitive scanning over the front entrance of Earl's Court when the band was playing there amounts to 50 minutes of tedium. At least, I think it's 50 minutes, we baled after 15 minutes and threw the thing away.

Finally, as for the sleeve note's claim that this is one of the finest music documentaries ever made, these people need psychiatric help...

Not even worth the postage

This DVD is only Interviews, no shows... like the cover would suggest... I was very disappointed. But if you like old interviews with the band members, that's what you should get.

Joke DVD. Why is it not authorized by the band, management, or record company? Cuz it is a horrid collection of interviews of clinger-ons of the band. Barely a few seconds of an old interview with Chris Martin...the rest is a bloody joke of nobodys. Do yourself a favor and avoid purchasing this item; I fell prey to it's trap--don't do the same.

HASH(0xa2ac95e8) out of 5 stars Charismatic Coldplay Dec 24 2015

This DVD is a very intelligent look at a band that started out in college back in the 90s and has risen to fame and is going to play at the Super Bowl. More people are going to know about this band than ever before and I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that this DVD is a good introduction to a band so many have come to love.

What you will find is mostly interviews with Chris Martin which are laugh out loud funny I'm telling you. He has a way with words. Then there are interviews by journalists who obviously write a lot about music. They really seem to be able to analyze the situation as Coldplay rocketed to fame. I found their insights very deep and their enthusiasm talking about Coldplay to be a treat.

Things you will learn are how the members of the band met. It sounds like fate to me.

Chris Martin is such an enthusiastic happy person these days but I think he always was this way from what I'm seeing on this DVD. Perhaps his high energy and charismatic manner make him super likeable and someone you want to support.

What these interviews and insights bring to the table are thoughts about what it really takes to be famous.

This is really the evolution of Coldplay. Everything from how the band met to how they got started playing gigs. They talk about two main albums so this is not totally up to date. But for me I'm still learning about this band so I'll find my way through the CDs on my own schedule. I'd like to collect everything they ever put out because I'm convinced I'd like any incarnation of this band.

And I just want to say thank you to Chris Martin for being such a positive person. His charisma is inspiring. We need more people to inspire us in life.
