I ride public transit to get to work, and I'm often in a hurry and have to toss my 3DS into my bag along with my lunch and everything else. This case is exactly what I needed. It's compact, so doesn't take up loads of space in my bag. The magnetic fasteners are genius - quick and easy. The case fits snuggly and has just enough padding to protect the device. The elastic pockets hold game cartridges securely. The leather is just attractive. Best of all, this quality product is $10. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

Normally, when buying a case, I try to avoid snaps, as I feel they are way more likely to open up than zippers. And while this is probably true, I still have to say I am impressed with the strength of the magnetic clasps on the Nintendo 3DS Leather Case.
Not only is is strong and sturdy, but it is very fashionable. I'm never embarrassed to pull this baby out of my bag. It even has 2 game holding spots. Convenient!
Overall, I am quite impressed by this case, although I am a little disappointed it does not necessarily cover the L and R buttons (owners of DS lites will be concerned as well). All in all, it's a great purchase considering it's price.

After I got my 3ds I went out to look for a great case to carry it around in that would fit if I were using the Nyko Power Pak+, and this case did not disappoint.
This case will fit the 3DS with the Nyko Power Pak+ though it will be very snug. I had to stretch the case out a bit by putting a dvd box set in there. But after that I was able to slip my 3DS in there with no problem and get it to shut.
The fact that this case uses magnets to hold it shut is really awesome. At first I thought it wouldn't really make that much of a difference from the traditional clip or velcro, however these magnets have better holding power than either a clip or velcro and they won't start to go bad from unclipping too much.
I would definitely suggest this case to anyone looking to protect their 3DS especially since it can fit the 3DS with Nyko Power Pak+ (albeit the case requires a bit of loosening up).

good case, only drawback it that the corners of the 3ds are exposed so you still sorta feel the need to keep it a safe place, but the magnets are well attached and responsive, the leather doesn't scratch and the pouches hold games well, I've seen worse cases that sell for more, this is pretty good.

Important questions arise when one has a handheld system like that of the 3DS, what does one do to protect their precious system? What type of case, is it good, fair priced, functional etc. I assure you that the Nintendo 3DS will work to fill in all it's promises as a case then some. First off the price is excellent, and it does not sacrifice quality as many other products do when it comes to pricing. Secondly it is a very practical, sleek, and compact case. When the 3DS is stored in this case worries of scratches and damage occurring ease away overall. It stores the 3DS snug without being a hassle to slide it in and out, plus it has two nifty pockets for ds/3DS games. Lastly if you are considering this case you may of noticed that there are other leather cases for the 3DS on Amazon, so what makes this one triumph over the others? There are two main reasons why this case excels above the others, first is the price and then there is the magnetic snaps. For example of comparison the Nintendo Official Executive Case for 3DS uses a Velcro strip instead magnetic snaps. The magnetic snaps are supreme in this situation to a Velcro strip.
While this case might not meet every need or suit every purpose, it is a perfect balance with a price tag that can't be beat.
