The #1 annually updated text in internal medicine!

CFMS (CANADIAN FEDERATION OF MEDICAL STUDENTS) ENDORSED!

The annual classic that puts research where it belongs...into your practice

5 STAR DOODY'S REVIEW
"This is for everyone looking for medical information, from house officers, residents, and practicing physicians to patients and family members. There is very little unnecessary text and the book is quite easy to use with a modicum of medical knowledge....This book has the tremendous benefit of being updated yearly and thus has stood the test of time for recognizing what is helpful and what works. It is well worth the price and a great addition to a primary care practitioner's library."--Doody's Review Service

1.0 out of 5 stars KINDLE Version is USELESS, April 9 2010

I basically agree with all the reviews of this book. However, I would strongly NOT recommend the KINDLE version of this text. The ability to search the text is very poor. Most text searches require very precise wording to locate an item of interest and will generally find the first occurrence not the primary entry that the paperback index references.
The only option is therefore to start at the beginning of a relevant chapter and troll through trying to find the reference you're looking for. Hardly helpful in a book that averaged around 2000 pages.

Get the paperback version. Kindle reference texts aren't usable. Perhaps iPad will do it better.....

    5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!, Dec 30 2009

This is my favorite book to study from. It gives you the essentials to pretty much any health related problem. Ok, so it's not Harrison's book of internal medicine. But it is small enough that I can carry it without getting a hernia.

The Lange CMDT series is worth the money. Nothing in depth, but authoritative and concise. I use this text often in my teaching medical students in China.
