1.0 out of 5 stars Think twice before ordering again Jan. 9 2012
Caillou Laugh N Learn 12" Talking Doll, I was very disappointed in my purchase. Even with new batteries pressing on the buttons did not always work. Also I couldn't find any where to increase the volume and people could bearly hear what doll was saying.

5.0 out of 5 stars So cute... Nov. 23 2007

I bought this toy for my nephew for christmas (age 2). The doll is so cute, sounds just like Cailliou, can't wait to give it to my nephew. The doll speaks both english and french, says one sentance in english then repeats it in french, so it's a cute way for small kids to start being exposed to another language. He is a soft doll, no hard parts, so he is perfect for little ones to snuggle up with at night. This doll is a must have for Cailliou lovers!

My son is a huge Caillou fan. I thought he would love this toy. I don't think it sounds much like Caillou. The phrases are hard to understand and the volume is very low.

Good product, but the voice is kind of hard to understand. Does not really seem to be the voice of the character.

3.0 out of 5 stars pretty good, but... Jan. 8 2009

I thought that this would be the perfect toy for my daughter who absolutely loves Caillou. When she opened it, she was happy, but I don't think that it sounds like the character at all. It isn't very loud which we considered a bonus, but a lot of the words are jumbled so you can't really understand them enough to repeat them. It does seem very durable, but it wasn't the perfect toy that I was expecting. My daughter liked the book that came with it more than the doll itself.

I bought this for my son who 1)loves Calliou 2)loves soft dolls and stuffed animals. The gift was a total flop.

Although the doll speaks both English and French, the sound is so muffled that we can barely understand what is being said. Overall poor job done in the vocals. The voice doesn't sound much like Calliou's either.

The most fun my son had with this toy was removing the clothes before it got sent to the toybox in the basement that nobody every goes in.

I should have used my $25 and bought the kids more blocks. Calliou was a disappointment.
