Developed exclusively for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, this game offers a companion experience to Call of Duty: World at War, featuring its own unique set of missions, engagements and challenges that are set within the Pacific and European campaigns through many of the pivotal battles that led to the end of the world’s greatest war.
The Pacific Theater: Fighting against a new enemy, the Imperial Japanese, the Americans must learn to deal with their more aggressive fighting techniques such as Banzai Charges, booby traps, and night assaults.
New Weapons: Delivering the cinematic intensity and chaos that the franchise is known for, Call of Duty: World at War - Final Fronts challenges players to harness the power of new weapons like the flamethrower – the weapon of choice for fighting in tight and confined spaces.
Three Campaigns: Featuring 13 missions and three campaigns, fight as a member of the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific, the 6th British Airborne on the banks of the Rhine, or the 80th Infantry in Bastogne. Engage in multiple mission types including infantry, infiltration, sniper, large scale assaults, night fighting, and tank assaults.

A great effort on a fading console.,

This review is from: Call of Duty: World at War Final Fronts (Video Game)
Call Of Duty: World At War Final Fronts is one of the best shooters I've had the pleasure of playing on my PS2. After playing through the 360 version, I was nervous about picking this one up because lately, the amount of effort going into PS2 games has been pathetic. Movie-tie-ins, stale sports games with nothing new to offer and offering no reason to keep playing the PS2. Final Fronts offers a completely different campaign than the next-generation versions. Final Fronts will take you to the Pacific (briefly), Russia, Germany and other European areas, offering a wide variety of weapons to toy around with. All of the weapons shoot great, like any other Rebellion shooter. Graphically, it's what you'd expect on the PS2. Muddy and static compared to the next generation, but Final Fronts does a good job of pushing the hardware, and for the most part the game runs smoothly even in the biggest firefights. The cutscenes are eerie and the in-game cinematics are, too, Final Fronts accurately presents the horrors of war. In the end, if you loved World At War on your next-gen console and still have your PS2 hanging about, pick this one up, it's a nice expansion of sorts to add to your WAW experience, that's even how Activision is marketing it. Be warned -- this 'expansion' marketing is Activisions excuse to exclude split screen and online multiplayer, but it's still a campaign you won't soon forget.

If you like fun war games and are tired of fighting the Germans all the time this game is great. I think most people forget there was just as much if not more fighting in the Pacific. Do not listen to all those game geeks the graphics are great for PS2. The best part is it is accurate in its history. It is also rated Teen which means kids can play it not just big kids if you know what I mean. I would like to see the game companies allow parents to turn the language off on some of these Mature games. This is a great Christmas gift to get kids who are 10 and above. Have fun.

This is a really really fun game. Great graphics, good variety of missions and easy to learn how to play. This will provide you hours of fun. Also, there is a way to turn off the language and make it considerably less violent (elminate splattering blood), which is great if you have kids around the house. I'm not a huge gamer, but this game is worth the money (particularly if you buy it used!) 9 of 12 people found the following review helpful

I bought this for my 14 year old for Christmas. He has been playing it and loves it. He likes the graphics and the new situations in the game. He is the "expert" and he gives it a BIG THUMBS UP!
