i was totally absorbed by this book in a way that only the elton john biography had absorbed me before. having had liasons with a transexual one night in a sordid toronto club, i have since been intrigued by the lifestyle. this book reads as a tell-all confessional of Marlowe's life: a life that is equal parts colourful and painful. I actually managed to get my copy autographed by Marlowe in a book store in New Jersey and he/she was the sweetest person I have ever met! For anyone who has an interest in this lifestyle, locate also "Ang/Angela: My Life as a Transexual in the Prison System," by Andrew Simpson.
