3.0 out of 5 stars 2.5 stars...not bad but not good either..., Nov 7 2008

Description from the back of the book:

Andrew Haywood Was In Trouble

He knew he'd promised to watch out for Cally DuBois. But he'd never expected to be mooning over a wildflower of a woman who'd just as soon shoot him as look at him!

Sheriff Haywood just kept looking out for her no matter what kind of weapon she waved at him. And Cally was beginning to think the stubborn man was blinded by that fever she saw in his eyes every time he looked at her. A fever that seemed to be catching!

* I enjoyed the Flint Hills series by this author but this book just didn't do much for me. Andrew didn't seem like a Sheriff to me & Cally was pretty naive & not too bright. I really didn't care for either one of them. The bad guys & the storyline there didn't do much for me either. Royal (the dog) was about the only thing that I really enjoyed in this book. As my title stated, I didn't find the book bad but I didn't find it good either. I read 1-2 romance books a week & I was truly shocked to see such high ratings for this book. I don't understand what was to love.

I absolutely LOVE this book! Believe it or not, this is the first romance I have ever read. I am now completely addicted to them due to this book! I can't stop thinking about the story. The characters are just amazing. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
