This is one installment in a series depicting the service of Donald Cameron in the Royal Navy during WWII. In this episode, we find Lieutenant-Commander Cameron in charge of a ship that is taking part in a raid on the U-boat pens in Brest Harbor. In the course of events, Cameron becomes commander of the mission and destroys large parts of the harbor installations while recovering a seemingly lost Royal Marine detachment. This is a work that is full of action, bloodshed, danger, somewhat flat British and French characters, and stereotypically arrogant Nazis. It's all carried along by Scott's reading. His versatile voice does well with the numerous British accents and is credible with the French and German ones. His enthusiasm for this work seems to pick up as the story progresses. Not great literature, but fun to listen to. M.T.F. © AudioFile 2000, Portland, Maine--
