4.0 out of 5 stars Thrill a minute April 7 1998

R.L. Stine seems to be turning over a new leaf. He's writing some more intense books. I liked this, but it started off kind of bumpy. Like, every chapter ended with something shocking. Mr. Stine, don't worry. You're a good writer. Give it a little time. Though, this was a great book tough. P.S. Putting horror books in first person isn't a great idea. I am 13 and I write soon-to-be published YA horror. If a story is in first person, the chance that the main character could die is less possible unless they came back from the dead to tell their story. Great book, though!

3.0 out of 5 stars an OK story Aug. 9 2000
The story is about 3 friends who go out camping, on their way they meet three guys and from that moment on, everything goes wrong. The story started out kinda good and I liked the'WIll' part but then it started to get real predictable and nothing really exiting happened. Stories like this have been written so many times and there are movies like it (like the river wild). So if you want something totally new, don't read this one. If you want an easy read, this one if for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars a fine book May 31 2001
This book revolves around three freinds who go for camping and are doubtful about if they are ever going to be able to return home. Thanks to the three guys they met on their way . the 'will' part was too short and the book would have been much better if it was just a little bit more romantic in the biggening.however the book does remind you about'the river wild'.i wonder if the movie was what had inspired r.l.stine to write the book. not exactly one of the top ten fear streets.

2.0 out of 5 stars Camp out Review March 4 2002
By A Customer
This book is supposed to be a mysterious thriller. I didn't like this book because it said it was a thriller, but it wasn't. It is exciting because of the killing, but it was too far-fetched and it would never happen. The book seemed like it had no plot to it at all. I liked the language in this book, but the grammar in the dialogue was really bad. The characteers didn't fit in with the book. That is why I thought it was dumb.
