"Set 3" vs. "Series 3", Dec 15 2011
This review is from: Canada: A People's History - Set 3 (DVD)
Both "Set 3" and "Series 3" have the same 4 Canadian History episodes (approx 7 hours) covering the years 1873-1940.
"Series 3" includes a couple of extra disks: a DVD with some documentaries and a CD with the theme music. "Set 3" omits these extras (but they aren't so important).
You don't need to see the earlier episodes to follow the stories. You can watch the disks in any order.
I've watched all the episodes multiple times. It never gets boring. I like the frequent quotes of the actual words (or at least English translation of the actual words) of people at the time.

Canada historic background, Oct 1 2009
This review is from: Canada: A People's History - Set 3 (DVD)
In 2007 I visited Canada and found there were holes in my knowledge of Canada and its history. I was fasinated by how resently the borders between USA and Canada were settled and yet there seemed to be little information about it or about Canadans concerns.Your series helped me have a better under standing of Canada and its presentation made it enjoyable and entertaining to watch.
