I've been waiting,

I am a great fan of slow cookers. When used properly they are an absolute God-send to the health conscious working mother. The problem for me has been the cook books written for slow-cookers--they always seemed to come straight out of the 1950's. I have been waiting for a long time to find elegant, yummy health conscious cook books written for the slow cooker. Judith Finlayson has made my dream come true--and the very first recipe was chosen by my husband (a soup), he was so excited by the excellent results that he has decided (at almost 62) to start cooking. Another dream come true! If you have never tried a crock-pot, I urge you to.They are cheap, time consuming and now even good enough for tasty meals for guests, thanks to Judith. I have 3 crock pots--one for soup, mains and even possibly desserts. All bubbling away while I enjoy my guests--and they will never know! I should also add that Judith provides solid information about how to use these recipes with diabetes. Good on you Judith!
