This book is so informative and a great tool for the beginners who learn about Canadian nursing practice. Since I am preparing for the CRNE exam, this book gives me authentic guidelines about nursing in Canada.

I am in my first year RPN program and am finding this book is full of great info. The only complaint that I have is how small the text is, but if it was bigger the book would be too heavy to carry!

This book, by its presence in my apartment, reminds me to be more organized. I misplaced my current textbook and was unable to find it online, so i ordered this one, as it is the nursing reference from last year's Practical Nurse course. I had used it previously as a secondary reference, and find its detail quite helpful. It is dry materiel, well organized and well presented.

This textbook covers what it needs to cover.. over and over again. It's not that the information is bad, but this textbook takes interesting information and makes it boring. The only major drawback I found with it is the way that it displays the step by step instructions on clinical skills- there are not 46 steps to giving a bed bath!

I am currently using it for my nursing degree and can use if for more than one course. The material is very thorough but at the same time simple enough to understand and follow the procedures. The only thing I have to maybe complain about is that there seem to be some - although minor - discrepancies with regards to the "Rights of medication administration" (some sources say there are eight, Potter and Perry say there are seven).
Otherwise, I am sure I'll be using it throughout my program or perhaps even career.

I can recommend this book to all foreign students aiming for a canadian license. It's very extensive and covers the whole canadian system and what is expected of nurses.
