This is the first Canadian Living Cookbook I purchased and I still use these recipes 20 years later. The Wildberry Strusel is a real hit. The curry recipes are simple to make yet incredibly delicious and flavorful. You will have authentic Indian dishes I promise you. What is most important is the recipes ALWAYS turn out beautifully. Obviously the recipes have been tested well. I highly recommend this book for the novice and expert cook alike.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two Thumbs Up for Canadian Living Cookbook, Mar 18 2011
This review is from: Canadian Living Cookbook (Hardcover)
If I could only have one cookbook this would be the one I would choose. My husband "recycled" my original copy by mistake-I am so happy to have received my second hand copy in the mail just the other day. He will be happy not to hear me moan about "the unfortunate incident" any longer. I can't wait to make some of my old favourites and I also plan to try some new recipes as well. Honestly, everything I have tried from this cookbook gets rave reviews. Best cookbook in the world - Canadian Living should consider reprinting it.

5.0 out of 5 stars best basic cookbook ever, Sep 2 2010
This review is from: Canadian Living Cookbook (Hardcover)
I bought this book for myself back when it first came out. Years later I have the same dog eared, stained book in the kitchen. It falls open to the recipes I use most! I bought a new one for each of my children as they left home and they swear by it too. Basic food from accessible ingredients and useful charts (Meat cooking chart, Jam/preserve charts). Amazing publication.
