I had this printer for just under a year. I printed two 4x6 images to test it out and have only printed black and white documents since.
The colour prints were excellent however the printer drinks the colour ink even if you only print in black and white. I even set the printer to grey scale but all three colour cartridges are now empty. Fortunately it still allows me to print in black and white so I will not be replacing the colour cartridges until I need them.

Pros:
- Good quality printing in B&W and Colour.
- Will still allow you to print b&w docs even when the colour cartridges are empty.

Cons:
- Will empty the colour ink even if you are only printing in b&w
- The manual sheet feeder at the back can only be used for photo paper. All regular paper must go in the tray. So if you have letter size in the tray and need to print a legal sized doc you have to replace the paper in the tray with legal. You can't use the manual feeder at the back of the machine.

I purchased this printer to replace a Canon MP500. I like the smaller footprint. Setting up for WiFi was easy. It works with my iPhone4. It looks sharp.
I got a great deal on line with free shipping. All in all an excellent product. I highly recommend it.

I had a earier version of a canon printer so thought I would give this newer model a try when my old one died. SO glad I did! It is everything they said it would be and more. Clear sharp printing and the scanner copier is a great bonus as I did not have to buy a separate scanner. I give this Canon two thumbs up!!
