I think his camera is being replaced by the SX40HS, but it is still available. Made in Japan, it appears to be of very good quality and to be good value especially compared with most DSLR cameras with long lenses. I think the image capture is a bit slower than the high end Canon cameras, but part of this may be the SDHC class 4 memory card Amazon sold me with it - a class 10 memory card may help. Easy to use, it appears to have the potential to do everything I need.

Way over-priced on here. You can buy this in stores for 100.00 less, with no shipping costs. Great camera otherwise.
