First off the title of my review is for the outrageous cost of this cd $80 for a brand new copy!!! come on. Im pissed off i bought this cd brand new back in early 2004 here at HMV for like $20. Obviously i got rid of it because it got too scratched what a bummer. Any how next to Soul Alone this is my favorite and Daryl's second best solo album. I call Cant Stop Dreaming Daryl's Romance album there are lots of smooth not sappy ballads here. What's In Your World is the only song i dont really like. Soul Alone for a great an album as it was is very heavy in production very busy and too many vocal overdubs. Cant Stop Dreaming is more stripped down i love it and one day if i come into money im gonna order this cd again. What do i do the things i do i wish id never gotten rid of this cd. For any Hall And Oates or Daryl Hall fan this is a must have if you have the cash. If i had to pick my favorite song from this album i would go with All By Myself.

This cd is one of Daryl Hall's best solo albums to date. He really delivers with this cd. It has a little bit of everything in it.

What an amazingly prolific songwriter. How easy it is to forget how many blockbuster tunes Daryl Hall has written after you remember how many he also sung right into the top 40 over and over.
Love this cd. Just found it recently but love finds like this. Makes barely a ripple on release but when you find it you feel like you found gold without marketing mushers leading it right to your nose.
Great music, great voice, great emotional tracks but you won't miss John Oates until you THINK about their harmonies and past hits and then you will think about how great they are together too.

This guy is one of the ALL-TIME GREATS!! and not just for a white
guy. Remember people there is no color to soul! SOUL IS A STATE
OF MIND!! and Mr. D. Hall has enough soul for 2 lifetimes. I
grew up in the classic era of the 70's (just turned 41) from my
all-time fav. "Sara Smile" to "Rich Girl" but... when I found
this CD last year at a Hall&Oates concert, one word,"EMOTION"
The passion he sings with can touch anyone's heart!
"What's In Your World" is so touching!! and also "All By Myself"
has that Marvin Gaye vibe, CLASSIC! and of course "Cab Driver"
For me Daryl Hall IS in the all-time top 5 singer/songwriter
list!! HALL OF FAME baby!!! I'm
also a vocalist, I have been told all of my career that I sound
a bit like Daryl Hall&Simply Red. Mr. Hall thank you! When I was
younger I always sang for my family & friends, all of the Hall& Oates songs. By the way when are they going to be put into the
Hall Of Fame? Long overdue!!!!

Daryl rules, period. I'm so thrilled that he's overcome some demons, i.e. addiction and is on the road again with a brilliant gorgeous solo album. He and John are such a blessing to the world of soft rock. Daryl has the most underrated beautiful soulful voice in America and I love him dearly. Can't wait to see him in Humble Texas in October. Check their website for their 2004 tour!!!!!!!!

Daryl Hall rules, plain and simple. I feel he is one of the most underrated singers in America...this CD is such a joy to listen to , the music is phenominal and his smooth, sexy, sultry, voice just makes you want to stop you car in traffic and start dancing in the middle of the street. There's an 80's happy feel this CD which is what I love. Buy his music! For Daryl is still going strong and will always be a beautiful soul in the world of soft rock.

After seeing this cd remain in the top 30 in the smoooth jazz category the last few months, I was intrigued as to what ol' Daryl was up to! Well, after purchasing this cd and listening to it (over and over), I was disappointed that it wasn't really the smooth jazz groove I expected, but even more pleased that Daryl Hall sounds much as he did 25, 30 years ago...(wow, has it been that long?)
It is very Sarah Smile-esque and truly one of Daryl's best solo efforts. If there is a fault, it may be a bit too melodic and structured at times, but overall an incredible cd (both musically and vocally).
He remakes "She's Gone" beautifully, and "Cab Driver" is also very good, but I'm still trying to decide which song of these 11 are my favorite. She's Gone, but Daryl's back!!!
OLE', blue eyed boy....

Get this or the IMPORT as this is a classic solid work by the most highly under-rated and under-appreciated singer on the planet!! While in print don't miss out on a package that is full of great songs that are sung with soul-deep performances that will amaze you with their brilliance!!! This work should have numerous hits and a Grammy or two would be justice!! Sing it Daryl-you are the best!!!
