You would have to be a real fan,

One of the characters has just drunk two brandy and sodas; he then drove to a restaurant, shared a bottle of 'vintage Chardonnay', downed some calvados, and then drove off into the rainy night. I know the author was born in the twenties, but I am totally alienated now. The characters (apart from being drunken drivers) are vaguely annoying, two-dimensional and dull. I don't give a monkey's who murdered Clara Bacon or why. The only one I am remotely interested in is the poor cat.Oh, and don't write about cutesy grandchildren - just a waste of time and irritating. This is even more badly written than Barbara Erskine's Lady of Hay. I am taking it to the charity shop tomorrow - unfinished.

I Love the combination of Penny and Sir Toby. If you haven't read this series it's fun to read them in order.
