The combination of both theses stories in one book made it easy for me to catch up on the backstory of Captain Jack and Blake which feature heavily in various other books in the series. I had been puzzled by the Jack Hendon references in various Bastion Club novels. I really appreciated the format and the book actually is very well made.Captain Jack's Woman and A Gentleman's Honor

I love Stephanie Laurens books in general, and especially the Bastion Club series. I know people get hung up on the "virginity" thing of her heroines, but men like the ones she writes about--all strong, silent and alpha to the max--would not feel the same primative and possesivness with women who are not. This is even more true of the time period in which she writes. This is a great book about the problems a lack of communication can cause. I found it quite entertaining. It is going into my personal library for keeps.
