I happened upon this artist watching a documentary on CBC and had to learn more. I've since ordered several CDs and really enjoy her smooth jazzy vocals. It's a great CD for easy listening and wonderful for dinner and cocktail parties, sleak, sophisticated and classy. A must for jazz and non-jazz enthusiasts.

Its been a long time since I have gotten this excited over a new CD. I can't believe my good fortune to have stumbled into this artist while exploring some jazz vocalists on Amazon. This album is a joy from start to finish. Canadian Carol Welsman is a wonderful vocalist & pianist. The product description above is excellent, so I won't mention specific songs. However, the entire CD is melodic & warm (acoustic) with both romantic ballads & energizing upbeat tracks. The musicianship is excellent with a cool latin vibe that threads through most of the disc. Whether communicating in English, Spanish, Italian or French, Ms. Welsman consistently sings with great passion, depth and a maturity that is really moving. Also, check out her website to learn more about her impressive musical resume. I'm not familiar with her previous CD's, but this one should springboard her to a wider & enthusiastic audience. Simply put, this is beautiful music from a wonderful talent, & I look forward to hearing more & more.

Carol Welsman is a jewel. Her piano playing and vocals are stellar. This is a must buy cd for anybody who likes jazz, pop and hits. Produced by Yellowjackets Jimmy Haslip.

This is an incredible release by Carol. While every song is terrific, a definite standout is her version of Madonna's "Live To Tell", which is simply gorgeous!
