I'm a police officer and needed a new watch for work. The black matte finish is great and goes nicely with all my gear. Very sturdy watch and absorbs all the knocking around. Looks great and works great. I would recommend it to everyone.

I love the watch but I'm rating this 4 stars because it's a little pricey at $80ish compared to other 6900-series watches and considering the features of only 1 alarm, etc. compared to what you can get in other G-shock models at this price point. It looks nice, very nice, and the brushed face is distinctive. The G-Shock logo and G on the illumination button are a light gray that matches well to the brushed face. I wish the lettering for the 4 buttons were done in the same highlighting, but they're OK in bright light and/or once you memorize which button is which. I use the watch for casual wear and for running and other sports. The display is large and bright enough to see the stopwatch while running, which is exactly what I wanted and probably better than the reverse LCD color combinations on some of the other models. It's fairly large overall and the band is plenty long for my large wrist size. Thumbs up!
