Nice looking watch. Display face a little small. Many nice features. Nice adjustable duration backlight from 1sec to 3sec your choice. Tide graph pretty useless to me. Moon phase is what I needed but very disappointed in the very basic info provided. Just shows the phase and the date. I need to know where it is in the sky but it fails to provide such info. After setting the watch up the moon age says 16.4. it doesn't increase in increments as the moon ages such as 16.6, 16.9 and so on. I tested each upcoming day and it jumps by one. example next day 17,4, next 18.4, next 19.4 and so on. Other digital moon phase watches updated at more precise intervals and gave me info I needed. Pretty basic stuff. It has your usual timers, stopwatch, utc, countdown timer. The best feature is that it is solar powered so no batteries to change. I also like the power save feature in which if your in a darkened environment the screen goes blank and re-actives at a touch of any button. nice feature. The watch is light as a feather and the plastic band feels nice. You wont even notice your wearing it. Im very disappointed in the cheap moon phase info but the rest of the watch is ok. If you want a sharp looking basic digital watch then buy this otherwise look for something else.

I was looking for a decent priced casual watch and I ended up buying this one. I was most impressed with the solar powered aspect to it as its better than having to change the battery all the time. I've only had this watch for a couple of weeks so I can't say a lot about it however I can mention that it has a nice fit to it (at least to my wrist and my wrist is small). It looks nice in my opinion (there is a lot going on - on the display however you get used it). The only downfall to this watch so far would be that the initial set up process is a little challenging (if you don't read the manual) as well as it does not have an Ontario standard time like Toronto so if you are from Toronto or Ottawa or any other district in Ontario that uses EST you would have to set your watch for NYC time.

I usually go for analog watches when purchasing a work watch.20 yrs ago I bought a casio which lasted me some 6 yrs...it unfortunately got smashed at work... but it was still going strong. Someone suggested the other brand...takes a lickin and keeps on ticking. ...which was ok the first... but I got about 3 yrs out of it...they were quite heavy and clunky for a physical job...watch bands kept breaking...so I recently went back to casio...this time I got a digital...solar...so far it is awesome...lightweight...keeps accurate time...the only thing is the solar...I work in the far north...most of the winter I stay covered up pretty well...so the watch does not see much natural daylight...but so far so good...

I'm not a watch expert but I know what my personal requirements are.

To start with, I have used several Casio products in my time and I have not had a bad experience with any of them.

I prefer function to flash. Having said that, this watch has an appealing, rugged design.

Functionally, this device has a lot more features than I really need but it allows you to setup the services/features that you need and ignore the ones you don't.

For me, those are the time (in one time zone) and the tide state ...maybe the date.

The thing that caused me to finally buy this watch was the SOLAR POWER. It is pretty hard to beat never having to change a watch battery again, no matter how long they last.

I'm very pleased with this purchase and would certainly do it again.
