I gave Casserine a 3 star review, not because is wasn't a good book, it was, but because too many elements of the book mirrored Starship Troopers, which was mentioned numerous times. Granted, there were many additional storylines, which differentiated it from that book, but the similarities were too evident for me. I did like the main character, though, with his take no prisoner attitude, and the many tense action scenes throughout the book were very exciting. The main character is one bad dude.

First the Hero. Wel l developed and ruthless. Secondly The Girl. Smart great co-character. Third plot well developed and extensive. I've found all of Bernard Lee DeLeo stories to be lengthy but logically evolving. There are some very interesting twists in the tale and kept me off the boob tube and glued to his book. BTW I ordered all the others and they also follow great plot lines and pretty ruthless lead character.

Only reason not five stars is all the grammar, spelling and other errors. Not a real DEEP novel but sure was fun reading it. Sure wish real life was as easy to resolve as Jake did. This is 5th book by author and enjoyed all of them a lot.
