Product Description

Review

“Pure Carolyn Hart—a timeless story of love, betrayal, and greed. Set against the alluring landscape of New Mexico, Castle Rock is fast-paced, edgy, and wonderfully atmospheric. Hart vividly spins a suspense-filled plot rich in family dynamics that pulls you in on page one and won’t let go until the very end. The rebirth of Carolyn Hart classics is like discovering that there really is gold at the end of the rainbow. . . . Utterly spellbinding.”
Hannah Dennison, author of the Vicky Hill mysteries and the Honeychurch Hall mysteries

“A thrilling mix of suspense, romance, and mystery, Castle Rock is a page turner from page one through its nail-biting climax and very satisfying conclusion. I loved this book!”
Lisa Seidman, author of Killer Ratings

“An exciting tale of intrigue, with more twists and turns than a steep canyon trail. And the ride is just as breathtaking.”
Donis Casey, The Wrong Hill to Die On: An Alafair Tucker Mystery

There's something's wrong at Castle Rock April 6 2014
By James Liston - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Someone has killed Serena's uncle and now it seems they're trying to kill her. As more of the mystery unfolds, it becomes clear that something is wrong at Castle Rock and someone at the ranch is involved. Despite warnings to leave the ranch and avoid trouble, she refuses. She's determined to uncover the truth, even if it means exposing her best friend or the man she loves for what they really are.

Castle Rock is an exciting mystery set on a working cattle ranch in New Mexico. The amazing descriptions of the beautiful countryside make this wonderful story come alive. There are moments when I could imagine myself sitting on a "sun-splashed rock, staring at the pale blue sky arching over the lake with slender spruce crowding down to the water's edge."

Serena couldn't understand the meaning of the two large piles of stones making X's in the flat New Mexico desert. It was the first of many clues placed throughout the story. In the end, their meanings will become clear and the ending will surprise you.
