This book has a fresh, free, rhyming writing style, and a fresh, free, colourful drawing style that invite you into a world we don't usually inhabit. My son loved this book when he was 1. Now that he is nearly three, he still loves this book, and has always 'read' along with me. And it's a book that adults can read without tiring of -- you know what I mean: over and over and over and over ... This is definitely my favourite Thatcher Hurd book. I love the creativity that it expresses and engenders. If it weren't so hard to find, I would give this book to everyone I know.

My daughter (who is only 4 months old) absolutely loves this book. It is funny, interesting, and hip. My husband and I don't even mind reading it over and over. (Although we find the catchy phrases hopelessly stuck in our heads!) :)

What a refreshing board book! My 2 year old son loves the colorful night time scenes of cats in their pajamas having fun in the big city before settling down to sleep. The simple yet jazzy text is fun to read in beat-poet way. A great, non-cutesy-wootsy book for toddlers and preschoolers.
