Audience member closeups, again and again and again...,

The CDs are great. Audience "interference/participation" is kept to a minimum. I wish the same was true for the DVD (visual aspect).Way too much time is spent on close ups of audience members; full face views, singing, crying, mouth wide open, hugging, smiling (in reality, close enough to feel their breath). This is as much fun as having someone block your view of the stage, when trying to watch a performance. Get out of my face, please! I had hoped the Montreal show might be different, but no luck. In fact.. the same exact audience members (identical clips!) bombarded me. Who are these people? Did they bribe someone or win a contest?? Apparently great efforts were made to edit these "audience member close ups" into both the Boston and Montreal DVDs. Sadly, this collection of audience close ups (from 2 or more shows?) just caused me increased "watching aggravation". Maybe, my warning will prepare you for the worst, and you'll be able to enjoy the show.

Celine has always proved herself to be phenomenal on stage. This is absolutely no different! Celine proved the world in 2008-2009 that she still owned her title and that she had not become a "passé" artist that was forever stuck in Las Vegas. She set the record straight by selling another whopping 3 million tickets selling out over 130 odd shows making it the second highest grossing tour of the year.FINALLY an English live recording DVD of one of her many world tours and this definitely does not leave leave anyone wondering why she is the biggest selling female artist of all time. This DVD can convert anyone from long time fans to absolutely and completely non-fan alike. This, I have proof! The DVD is brilliantly filmed and the audio CD version is very well edited. The only thing I'd have to say about this that doesn't make me overly happy is the cardboard casing. I know, it's more environmentally friendly, but still... A product so good needs to withstand the test of time! If you've seen this show live, you need to get this. A French version of the concert is also available, which is also as well filmed. If you haven't; it's great entertainment and will definitely give you front row seats. A must-must-buy!!

I have always loved Céline's music since her earliest recordings but fell in love with her French versions when in Paris in the mid 90's. I don't understand a bit of French, but love her powerful vocal qualities. I tried to find this version in the US, but Amazon.com does not carry it for some reason. Thankfully I found it on Amazon.ca! I bought the package more for the CD and the DVD is simply bonus. She is a powerful singer with a beautiful voice and simply cannot be eclipsed.I was cringing at the ground delivery from Quebec to Montana, but it was actually relatively speedy (roughly a week) compared to other things I've purchased from "across the border".
