I bought this book for the subject obviously of Immunology, I also own Kuby Immunology, but as always Elsevier books surprise me!!! They're so great, I never doubt in buying those books. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful, the text is up-to-date and it's so easy reading, so understandable. You read what you need, no more!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars from a novice's perspective Sept. 7 2011
By suzyQues - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have never touched immuno in my studies prior to this second year of medical school. This text is easy to read, answers all my questions, and effectively touches on all the concepts I could ask a text to address. The information is dense, but not to the extent that taking notes means re-writing the book. I have only read a couple chapters but find the book refreshingly simple for someone previously intimidated and overwhelmed by immunology.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good resource, but not for first-timers to Immunology Dec 9 2012
By Charles Randall Moss II - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The book jumps head first into some big immunological concepts with out giving significant introduction or explanation. Some of the figures are also sub-par. Not a bad resource, but for first-timers to immunology and for a more thorough discussion of the subject, I would recommend "Janeway's Immunobiology, eighth edition" by Kenneth Murphy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive Jan. 21 2013
By HMLittle - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
So comprehensive, everything you need to know about immuno is here. The authors summarize sections in different fonts to really help you get the most out of what you're reading. Great reference, I'll be keeping this long after the course is over.
