5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! March 4 2012
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Voyage is another great production by Celtic Thunder. I saw the show in Halifax last fall, and it was spectacular! For me, this DVD does not disappoint. It captures the talent, showmanship, and the dedication of a great group of performers, who sang a variety of songs with a unique spin on each.

As for criticism of the DVD, please check out Celtic Thunder's website. Sharon Browne, producer, has noted that a second Voyage DVD will be released mid to late 2012. The reason for splitting the DVD and CD was related to the cost associated with buying rights to the songs, which is an expensive venture.

Regardless, this is a great DVD filled with an hour of great music and wonderful performances. If you love great music, do yourself a favour, and indulged in the world of Celtic Thunder!

2.0 out of 5 stars MISSING 9 SONGS---UNBELIEVABLE!! March 9 2012
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
1. The DVD transfer is from film and the picture quality is not as sharp as it usually is, which begs the question: Why wasn't this released on Blu-Ray? What good is new and better technology if it's not being used?

2. The most bothersome thing with this DVD is the fact that it can't compare with the concert version currently being shown on PBS stations. The source for this version is tape instead of film (at least that's what it looks like) and is considerably sharper than the DVD, although I wasn't watching a high definition station. But what really galls me is the fact that there are 9 songs (That's right, NINE!) in the broadcast version that are not on the DVD!!! The television concert is not just longer with better picture quality, it's a much better concert period. I can't help but feel ripped off that spending money on the DVD buys you a lesser experience that what you can get for free on TV! Folks, this is NOT AT ALL LIKE THE SHOW ON THE PBS----WHAT DO I DO NOW, I BOUGHT 2

We watched this originally on PBS which prompted us to order it. This DVD was good but we found it was missing many of the
better songs. What was there was good but we were very disappointed that parts were missing.

I'm a huge fan of Celtic Thunder, and have been for the past 5 years. I've seen them many times, and it's the next best thing to being front row center
