Product Description

Celtic Druids of Western Europe and the British Isles devised a mystic system of thought based on trees and the human hand in order to create beauty and divine the future.

In matters of imagination and divination, a poet may be the best source. With Robert Graves as guide, the book investigates the sacred trees in the remarkable Beth-Luis-Nion alphabet as defined in The White Goddess. Excerpts of ancient Celtic literature culled from rare volumes in private collections complete the text.

This wealth of Celtic lore and engaging subject matter is richly illustrated in the artistic style The Witches' Almanac readers have come to expect.

Elizabeth Pepper is well-known and respected within the occult and New Age community. She lives in Newport, Rhode Island.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Tree magic reader, May 13 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Celtic Tree Magic (Paperback)
The Celts had an elaboarte system of myths, rituals, and beliefs concerning the mystical powers of trees, Oaks were wise, birches potent, etc etc. This book provides a masterfully concise introduction to a fascinating field of study

This book is little but packed with information I like. There is a beautiful poem called Three Charms. It calls on the 7 daughters of the sea. I did this with magick, I lit 7 candles (They were tea candles; no, I'm not crazy.) I had good results.

This book also talks about trees. Actually, it is probably my best tree reference.
