Jennifer Lynch did an amazing job. It is one of those stories that is never really told and she treated the topic with respect. The psychological aspect of the characters lends itself to the impact of the story,... and what is realized at the end is shocking, but makes sense.

I'd have to completly disagree with a reviewer who said this movie has many layers to it. I felt it was the exact opposite. You know the synopse, guy abducts kid and raises him to do his dirty work...thats all there is to this movie, the two of them in their house and their relationship with each other. Not to say thats a bad thing but i just kept waiting for it to go somewhere and it never really does. I didnt think the ending was clever at all either. What i did like about the movie though is that there is lots of great dialogue, particularly from the lead serial killer guy. He had some well writting quotable lines and came off as more than a little creepy in a few scenes. Not much blood or guts in this one, or at least not as much as you'd expect but some good charactersn are what make it watchable and above average.

Well I'm going to say the synopsis of the movie is guy abduct kid to make him his slave while he's killing all these women but there is a little twist at the end.
but why he was killing these women i have no idea because his father is the one that used to beat the crap out of him and make him have sex with his mother so obviously he should be resentful towards his father or mabye he just resent women in general.this film is by Jennifer Lynch she obviously seen his work [Vincent D'Onofrio]in the [Cell with Jennifer Lopze]witch is not bad but i see miss Lynch also put him here with Julia Ormond [she only lasted about five minutes of the movie]who used to be his shirnk in Law-Order criminal intent she was the first woman he killed and it was her son that he capture mabye he had ill feelings about her from back then and he had to finish it. [Ha Ha Ha]Chained BD+DVD [Blu-ray]
