HAWT! Chains of Fire! Loved it!, Oct 26 2010
By Deb - Published on Amazon.com
I have been waiting for this book since I finished the 3rd in Christina Dodd's The Chosen series. Book 4, Chains of Fire, did not disappoint. This book picks up smoothly from Chains of Ice. I love the way Christina Dodd just weaves all the magic together in a fabulous story.
Chains of Fire is the story of Samuel Faa and Isabelle Mason. If you've been reading the series then you know that Samuel is the snarky attorney, the reluctant member of the Chosen. Isabelle Mason is the socialite. They've known each other since childhood where they were each adopted in the same household; Isabelle by the matron of the house, Samuel by the butler.
Dodd is ever the master story teller and Chains of Fire leaves you hanging for more, more, more. I read this book in 2 days. I could not put it down. Between rescuing a kidnapped child, being trapped under an avalanche, and meeting with the physical embodiment of Satan, Samuel and Isabelle finally figure out how to truly love one another. And through their sacrifice for each other, their powers have grown.
Now I'm waiting for book 5 in the series. I can't wait! This book goes straight to the top of my Books in the Pile.Chains of Fire: The Chosen Ones

The best in the series- hands down, Sep 13 2011
By A. Oliver "Only Romance" - Published on Amazon.com
I loved this installment in the Chosen series by Christina Dodd. I couldn't wait to read this book about Samuel and Issabelle. We learn about their past while they are "buried" in the bottom of an abandoned castle after an avelanche strikes. I too was under the impression that this was the final book in the series but I just can't believe that Ms. Dodd would leave us hanging like this because there is quite the cliffhanger at the end. This book I rated 5 stars because it was the best in the series thus far and hot, hot hot.

superb romantic suspense fantasy, Sep 11 2010

This review is from: Chains of Fire: The Chosen Ones (Mass Market Paperback)
Both are Chosen Ones. They have worked together on missions and had an affair that ended nasty with unfulfilled need. Each has learned now to never mix business and pleasure especially between a Gypsy and a socialite though they have known each for the longest time.
Lawyer and mind-control expert Samuel Faa and healer Isabelle Mason remain angry with one another and especially their selves although each also remains attracted to each other. In Switzerland they bury their feelings in order to unfreeze the Gypsy Travel Agency funds, but also rescue a kidnapped child who was abducted by the Others as an expendable pawn to kill the two Chosen Ones in a man-made avalanche. The ploy works to a point as Samuel and Isabelle are trapped inside the ruins of a castle with a ton of ice burying them and the edifice; and the enemy patiently waits to insure the job is done.
The latest Chosen Ones urban fantasy (see Chains of Ice, Storm of Visions and Storm of Shadows) is a superb romantic suspense thriller. The lead couple is a dynamic pairing as they have a long volatile history (told by Christina Dodd in flashbacks). Even with their past interwoven throughout the tale, Chains of Fire is an exhilarating entry as Samuel and Isabelle are trapped under a ton of rocks and under the even heavier burden of their love.
