About the Author
George Bowering was born in 1935 and was brought up in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, where he bought his first book of poems at Frank's Poolhall. He has received many accolades and is an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 2000, in recognition of his extraordinary accomplishments, Bowering was appointed Canada's first Poet Laureate.
