Flies in ALL DIRECTIONS!! V911 is a Fixed-pitch 4CH single blade helicopter. Suitable for Outdoor and Indoor Flight (OUTDOOR wind grade 3-4)!! Easy to Control and Stable. It is a replica hybrid of the leading "A" brand helis for about 1/3 of the price It has all the performance and quality of the Align and Blade brand helis, just not the high price. SUPER COMBO comes with 2.4G Transmitter, 2 Batteries, Dual-Lipo Charger, USB Cable, and 2 Spare Main Blades and a Tail Blade! It has a pioneering single-propeller design, that can greatly avoid the resistance of wind. Its gyro stability is one of the VERY BEST in ready-to-fly helis. The V911 can switch between 2 SPEED MODES by pushing the top-left button on the controller while flying. Turbo mode greatly increases the speed and heli reaction. Its' durable/elastic rotor blades, landing skid, rotor head and balance bar, make it virtually crash proof. If you crash, simply reset the heli and fly again. Remember to shut down throttle stick when you're about to crash, and it will survive for a long time. The V911's hot New 2.4GHz spectrum radio control technology allows for fine tuning. It allows a faster response speed and amazing flight range. The LCD TRANSMITTER allows you to see all indicators of the helicopter and fine-tune them to have better performance. It is not a infra-red toy grade helicopter, It’s a serious 2.4GHz 4CH helicopter. Now you can fly as many helis with your friends at the same time without interfering with their radio control. Range problems and interference are a thing of the past! To charge, just plug the removable batteries into the dual battery charger. Connect it the back of the transmitter, turn it on, and that's it (auto stops)! If you want to save the controller batteries, you can use the USB cable to charge through your PC or other USB ports. PLEASE NOTE that Color choice may VARY between either black, red, or blue DEPENDING OF AVAILABILITY.

I got this as my first RC heli, and I'm happy with it.
I was being reckless with it and the thing still held out to majority of the abuse.
The only piece that has broken on me so far was the balance flybar on the top. And I've used/crashed it quite a bit since purchase.
Only other problem was all the vibrating from the motor/spinning caused a screw to come out once, so now I keep a tiny screw driver handy to tighten all the parts every time I take it out to fly. It's fairly easy to maintain, take apart and re-assemble.
If you're new to this, it takes some time to learn how to adjust/calibrate the heli so it flies properly/balanced, but it will fly with excellent precision. I use it indoors all the time, fly it through tight hallways and everything.
I love it!
Much more durable than comparable walkera/blade/heli-max designs
I've had mine for a while now, flying it wrecklesly all over the place, with my
fair share of high-speed collisions. To this day, my only damage has been a
snapped tail motor wire. I just soldered & heat shrunk it back together, and now
works flawlessly again. Definitely get more batteries though, they don't last enough!
Remember, get the NEW PLUG TYPE battery. get the 150mah, or the 200mah battery if possible.
The S107G is for indoors only because it has an infrared transmitter. It is easier to fly, because it is much slower horizontally.
The V911 can be flown indoors, but takes a BIG room. It is more suited to outdoors. It has a radio transmitter and can handle light winds. Unfortunately I cannot verify that from personal experience, because it arrived shortly after the snow (it’s going to be a loooong winter). The predicted arrival date was Dec 4 to 22 - it arrived on Dec 5 - Asia to Canada.
The V911, in spite of being more complex in abilities, is in some ways mechanically simpler, because it has 1 main rotor motor and less gearing. It is lighter, using plastic in places where the S107G uses metal. However, it is VERY rugged, mine having been through some ugly crashes.
The controller works very well. There are trims for every control. I find that they are needed more than on the 107. Hard horizontal movements, where it can pick up much more speed than the 107, result in vertical changes during or after the move, not always the same from one direction to another, and take some getting used to. I found it difficult to execute a simple turn (yaw) and maintain altitude, something that will take more practice.
The battery system, with an external charger taking 1 or 2 of the provided batteries, is excellent, and I don’t have the latest one. When setting up, and possibly after a crash, you will have to bind the transmitter to the bird. This should be done fairly quickly.Read more ›
Depending on what you're used to flying, this would be a fun starter unit.
Delivery was fairly quick ---- about a week.,
Out-of-the-box, it's ready to go!!! The batteries are kinda fickle though---because the helicopter is so light, any amount of improper placement of the battery affects it's weight and balance, and just doesn't fly right.
Installing the battery is one thing; taking it out, quite another!!. You almost need a thin screwdriver to remove the battery from it's holder because pulling on the battery body itself separates the cell from it's terminal. I tried to epoxy the battery terminal to the cell, which only changed the weight and balance. Good thing the batteries are inexpensive.
Flying indoors? Hmmm ---- if you're wife/significant other/partner has "destructibles" around (plants, animals, Faberge eggs, etc) don't attempt to learn indoor flying (unless you're seeking a divorce). Find a LARGE open indoor space to practice.
The shipping was on time and as expected. The item is available in Future Shop under a different brand name (Protocol Predator XT1 4 Channel RC Helicopter (6182-5B BI)) for $100! I bought it for only $43 including taxes.
This is the first one that I can controllably fly around the living room to the point of being able to land on something.
Shuts itself down on impact to prevent further damage.
Crashed (due to low skill) into the dog's water bowl, shook off the water and it was good to go.
Can fly outside in "grade 3-4". I think this is in km/h. Doesn't make good headway into any wind at all, but that's to be expected at 32g.
I paid about $40 for it, have flown a couple dozen times and feel I've gotten great value. I expect to fly quite a bit more before I'll have to eventually replace the very small batteries.
